Tying it all together

Themed receptions are on the rise in 2013!  And what better way to ‘Tie it all in’ than with décor to compliment your theme?  Whether it be a themed color or hobby of you and your husband-to-be, you can ‘tie it all in’ in a variety of ways.

  • Specialty linens on your reception tables from the head table to the entry way and cake tables.  Linens can be more than tablecloths too: runners, overlays and napkins.
  • The wedding cake can also be in your colors  by incorporating ribbon, fresh flowers and an extravagant cake topper that matches your theme. The cake table can also be decorated to your theme and be an eye popping area for your reception, and decorated to match your theme.
  • Your wedding flowers can all be in your theme color with accent pieces to also go with your theme. You could incorporate mini pine cones, berries, exotic flowers or pieces of lavender for a natural Tahoe mountain theme.  Corsages, kissing balls for the flower girl, centerpieces &  flower petals along your aisles can all be of colors that match the rest of your wedding.
  • Your guest’s chairs can have your theme on them as well, either in color or adorned with an item of your theme.
  • Ice sculptures in your theme can be part of your reception room.
  • Add your theme into all parts of your wedding. You can incorporate the theme into your wedding favors, guest invitations, seating chart and programs as well.

  • Winter themed weddings can be full of whites and icy blue colors, or even a beautiful burgundy added in.  White table linens, white lights, white tulle and other puffy fabrics are all parts of a winter wedding.  Ice sculptures and snow can be part of the theme as well.
  • Fall weddings:  pumpkins on tables, fall leaf colors on tables and everything else, wedding party clothing in the reds or oranges of fall.
  • A Beach Wedding them could include: the whites, pinks and light blues of the beach in all aspects, shells for reception decor and have beach chairs, umbrellas and sand woven into your special day.
  • Rustic weddings could have old fashioned invitations and chalk writing on all signage, simple flowers like daisies with raffia ties, mason jars for drinks and/or candles and cowboy boots as vases.
